Yeah, this is something I needed to learn. So, the other day I picked up a spool of white cotton thread, pulled out my small set of hooks, and went on the look out for patterns on the internet.
Boy, is there a plethora of patterns out there! Especially for motif, edging, and lace designs. Most of the ones I found were charts. I couldn't read charts last week, but the designs were so beautiful I had to learn! Today, I have a decent understanding how to read a crochet chart and am pretty proud of it! I'll show you how you can too another day, though.
During my play of chart reading and crocheting with thread I decided I could turn edging patterns into beautiful little headbands. The one shown in the picture was my very first attempt! Quite lovely, yes?
I posted my project results on Facebook and got a great reception of the idea! So, now I've developed four styles that are now for sale in the Etsy shop. Right now they're in the featured items area and the hair accessories section. Go check them out and purchase one of these beauties!
